Keeping distance, and being at home. We do as the public health authority, stay at home. But now brighter times are coming. The vaccination starts shortly after Christmas. We have received tips about new polskor from the south. The hens have also been restricted due to bird flu. But today they have extra good Christmas food

For how long time ago did we see the sun? More than a month probably. In this moment the clouds pull apart and the sun emerges behind the them. It feels like a new hope is coming. Lovely.

Nu är det tungt på spelfronten. Allt är återigen inställt. När man i godan ro gick och funderade på om det vore dags att sätta igång igen så kom "andra vågen" av covid-19. Ambitionsnivån sjunker, och Majken kommer fram bara en gång i veckan. Att öva själv ger inte den där glädjen som musiken är så bra på.

Inspelning på nytt ställe

Coronan ställer till det när det gäller inspelning. Inspelningslokalen blir för lite för fem stycken, så vi måste hitta en annan plats. Vi provar församlingshemmet, men tyvärr så låter det från fläkten. Trots idogt letande efter avstängningsknappen så lyckas vi ändå inte få tyst på eländet. Vi provar att spela in ändå, och så får vi lyssna oss till om ljudet kommer att störa oss.

Eurasian hobby, (Falco subbuteo) Slate gray, and a dark crown. And of course the significant mustache. Two new this year, but not from the nest of raven. In the evening they sit in the dead pine, and searching for dragonflies.

Spelstuga, men på annan plats

Så provar vi igen, med spelstuga. Elva stycken kommer och vi sitter i kyrksalen. Med rigorösa coronaregler spelar vi. Kyrksalen har en efterklang på minst en minut så i början har vi lugna låtar. Men efter fikat så ökar vi farten. Visst kan man spela själv och komma framåt en bit, men att spela med andra är någonting helt annat. Mer dynamik och man är tvungen att lyssna till varandra. Att hitta låtar är inte heller så lätt. När det har gått så här lång tid sedan vi träffades så tar det lite tid att hitta rätt så att alla kan vara med.

Last time outside?

Sista gången som man sitter ute och spelar? Kanske.. Det är soligt och skönt på farstubron, och här blir alltid bästa musiken till. De bästa slingorna. Det ultimata ljudet, med ackompanjemang från naturen.

GåsAnders på riktigt

Så träffas vi igen i GåsAnders och det var från början meningen att vi skulle sitta utomhus, men det blåste och vi kröp inomhus och spelade hela kvällen med föredömligt avstånd från varandra. Och vi hade eget fika med. Föreslog Bellmans Polska, och den kunde de flesta! Kul. Sikvikspolskan kom också upp. En riktig rocklåt, men inte så lätt att få till i ett spelmanslag. Vi bestämmer oss för att börja spela igen.

Kräftskiva och fin-spel

En av de vackraste sommarkvällarna, med ljumma vindar framåt kvällen. Här blir det fin-spel fram till ett-tiden på natten, med bästa kompisarna. Just nu sitter vi och dricker kaffe och pratar och det är minst lika viktigt.

En och annan sup-visa måste vi också dra när det är kräftskiva. Spelbara var vi dock hela kvällen.

Bilvax

Övar friskt hela veckan. Det är till och med så träskofiolen kommer fram. Idag är det dags att vaxa bilen. Det hinner jag med på förmiddagen och tar en välförtjänt kafferast med lite spel. "man kanske skulle ta och spela in den där låten som jag började på hos Harry? " Sagt och gjort, så slog jag slag i saken. Lyckas att komma överens med zoomH4n till slut, och nu kan jag spela in på flera spår.
Manualen på zoomen är inte att leka med. Det verkar finnas en outömlig mängd alternativ få att nå det perfekta ljudet.
"Bilvaxet" får låten heta.

Spelträff

July 19th 2020

Idag skulle det ha varit Vendelstämman.Förutsättningarna för det hade varit näst intill perfekta, med soligt, om än lite väl varmt. Vi träffas hemma i Lilltibble och spelar finstämt. Har till slut kommit på bra nickname till LoT. Stockrosen blommar som alltid i vendeltiden.

Finally, we meet with our good old friends at "Kasern", Husby Långhundra. A nice lady own this place, and have café and store, We had a place underneath a lovley gazebo and play for the vistors, and for ourselves. wonderful to play with others again. During the corona, there has not been much play at all. I looked at the guitar case and felt a little dejected as all spelmansstämmor are canceled this summer. But this evening was all time high.

Summergreen colours in the forest. Daily trip with best friends... the dogs. The deers is looking upon the little hill, and are not afraid of us any longer. There is som track from the wild boar, but we never see them. Thats ok. We dont want to meet them.

Lilac

Skolan är slut för årskurs 3. Avslutar utomhus med en sång för en gångs skull. Den här klassen kommer jag för alltid att minnas med glädje.

Dandelions

Maskrosorna har redan blommat över, och sommaren ser ut att bli varm och underbar. Om nu bara coronan kunde blomma över också.

Det doftar i skogen av nya blommor, och nu slår de ut i mängd. Vi går samma runda, hundarna och jag varje dag nu i dessa hemmajobbstider. En halvtimme bland fåglar, djur och blommor. Ekorrarna, och Rådjuren vet när vi är på gång, och nu tittar de mest på oss, och smyger sakta åt sidan. Det vet att vi är ofarliga. Korparna skränar i talltoppen, där boet ligger. Fyra ungar i år som precis har blivit flygfärdiga. Gärdsmygar i massor sjunger högt och ljudligt trots att de är så små.
Liljekonvaljen blommar i mängd och doftar ljuvligt. Det är den bästa tiden på året när hela sommaren ligger framför oss.

GåsAndersträffen 2020

Ja, det blev inte den spelsommaren som vi hoppades på. Allt är inställt. Men GåsAnders ger sig inte så lätt. Spelmanslaget träffades utomhus med hälsosamt avstånd från varandra och spelade på kristihimmelsfärd ändå.

It is time to be home and work. All high schoolers rejoice initially with the first few days, but change the joy to depression when the social part disappears. And then we all start longing for school. Now we sit here far apart and the corona is kept away. So does the toilet paper, which is completely out at the supermarkets.

Cracking

March 18th 2020

It is cracking in the new guitar, and I'm worried that the throat has changed, due to the dry weather. I contact the master and he send over some shims, which I put in the stable. A little scary but I succeed. And nice enough, the master even sends with a couple of g-strings for of course it pangs when I put everything on. And the string pangs. :-) Two shims I need to put on before the guitar is in good condition. Now its all beautiful again.

Must try what it is like to play with more players on the new guitar, so I head to GåsAnders on Thursday night. Forget to bring plectrum. Have not been able to obtain plaque holder. The only music store in Enköping has not the right kind, and Uppsala had nothing, so now I have ordered a Dunlop, from Gothenburg. But with the help of snuff-lid, you can fix a reasonably decent sound. How did it go then? ... Well, I am still not so comfortable with the guitar, so the sound died quite significantly.

Corona

It is here that the corona puts the claws in the world, and everything is turned upside down in isolation. You still don't know the extent of it all. So far you can meet and play. But that will change.

Colage

Between exercises with the guitar you can do collage! Looking for a lot of old magazines and cuts and pastes all day. The last thing I did with this was in the mid 80's. Looking for colors, and testing. There will be a lot of different tests and it takes much longer than I expected. But it's fun.

In the seventh heaven

Time to travel to Ingmarsö, and Nordwalls. The guitar i ready to be delivered. 12-string mahogny auditorium.
Light as a feather. Easy to play. I play with capo mostly and when you move it you dont have to tune with this remarkele guitar.
Greger, the first 12-string, (a Norman) was great for the massive tune, but have a fretboard just a bit to wide.
Kurre, (Cort) the second, a party-guitar to have in the night in a dark tent with a crowd. A backup-guitar just in case if something goes wrong.
RosaLee, the third, (Guild) looking nice with a distinct bright tune.
And now this new guitar, at the time of writing with no name.
Sorry, Greger, Kurre, RosaLee. You are going to be not-playing for some time, and some of you are going to be sold. Four 12-string guitars is to much. Mats Nordwall is a master, and I am in the seventh heaven.

Playcottage

Time for playcottage, and as always a lot of musicians. New faces every meeting. There is a lot of fiddlers in Uppsala, who want to play.
Secondtuneswitcher and Stardust sitting on the opposite direction. I wanted them near me but they refused. It was a clever move. We had eyecontact every tune we played and even if the distance was largely I heard them all the time.

En hare

In the morning a hare running towards me in to the garden, with a offended mine, and probably saying
-This is mine path to your garden and why are you walking so early in the morning?
The early time of this sunday-morning was because of a rehearsel with Bridgeness and Angeltune. This second meeting was delightfull and we trained some new tunes. It is a gift to play with these great musicians.

Vinterstämman i TOBO

January 26th 2020

Angeltune and I have time to practice for an hour before it's time to go to Tobo and the winter meeting. We start with good soup, and then find a small room upstairs to play on. At 17:30, GåsAnders plays, and my places was on the right side sitting on a chair. Not the best opportunity Decided to put on amplifier today, and here was the only place to get electicitet. Greger this time, (RosaLee has a string change waiting) I belive I dont add anything this danceplay.

Högmässa

High Mass in Mission Church. We start with Harrys Vals, and it seems to fit well now in the SPOV constellation. It is so exciting to try out games in new forms om musicians. In the afternoon, LoT and Angeltune meet here in Lilltibble. We rehearsel two tunes for upcoming recording. What a privilage to play with this great musicians too!
